As the semester winds down, school comes to a close, and graduation is in sight, I can hardly believe my internship with AlliedPRA New Orleans is coming to an end.  Prior to working here, I had a few marketing internships that have all been completely different.  So coming to AlliedPRA New Orleans, I didn’t know what to expect and now I’m leaving with more experience and insight than I could have asked for.

One of the first things I noticed about AlliedPRA New Orleans on my first day was the company culture. Employees I had the chance to meet had a smile on their face; I could tell they really appreciated working here. I also instantly realized the recent accomplishments and credibility that the team achieved.  I knew from the beginning that this was an amazing company and I should be honored to be working here.

The projects I worked on with AlliedPRA spanned from creating social media content, designing newsletters for client marketing and updating the content on this website.

I came to be most fond of the Social Media aspects of marketing during the semester while working on increasing reach and exposure for the company.  Social Media Marketing has recently become an essential aspect of all businesses, and the demand for professionals with experience in this field will continue to grow.

As I move on to graduation, I leave AlliedPRA New Orleans with an experience that preps me for the real world, and the confidence I need to succeed post grad.  I’ve landed a position in New York in Public Relations, at a company I’ve always dreamed of working for but never expected it to actually happen.  I can safely say I’m excited for what the future brings because of the experience I have gained this semester at such an incredible company.

I can’t thank the AlliedPRA New Orleans team enough for giving me this amazing opportunity to learn from people who have so much talent and expertise in what they do.
