Muriel’s Jackson Square is not just a great place to eat; it’s a great place to hear a ghost story. Dating all the way back to 1762, Muriel’s is said to be haunted by several prior tenants. Today this beautifully restored French Quarter dining hotspot features some of the best contemporary Creole cuisine in the district.
Located just steps from Jackson Square, Muriel’s offers fantastic views of the the historic St. Louis Cathedral, which can be seen from the restaurant’s second-floor balcony. For private parties and events, Muriel’s offers several private dining rooms that can be configured to accommodate up to 300 guests.

What's Cookin' at Muriel's
Contemporary Creole cuisine will never taste better than it does at Muriel’s Jackson Square. Signature favorites include the crawfish and goat cheese crepes, double-cut pork chop and barbecue shrimp. Additionally, there is almost always a wood-grill Gulf fish available from the kitchen. For dessert, Muriel’s offers house-made puddings, creme brulee and chocolate cake.
Muriel’s also features a thoughtfully curated wine list, along with a classic selection of New Orleans-style cocktails, such as the Sazerac, the Hurricane and the Pimm’s Cup.

Located on a picturesque corner of Jackson Square, the two-story Muriel’s offers some of the best views in the city from its second-story balcony.
